Face Masks / Facecovering

As from Friday 10th July 2020 in Scotland you will have to wear a face mask or face covering

when in any retail environment Unless you are exempt on medical grounds. This has become law.

We now have in stock washable face covering available to purchase if you need them.

Closure of Budget Card Plus Scheme

Due to regulatory changes the scheme has been forced to close.

  •          From Monday, June 29 you will no longer be able to top up your budget card plus account at your local Post Office branch 
  •          You can continue to use your card to pay bills or buy One4all gift cards at the Post Office until your current card has zero balance or expires 
  •          If you do not use up all of the funds on your card before it expires you can contact the helpline on 0345 070 2403 for a full refund on the remaining balance. Alternatively the remaining funds can be transferred to a One4all gift card up to £120

Travel Money Changes of Services

Post office has decided to change how many branches can hold currency and order due to recent changes by regulator. We will no longer be able to hold Euros in branch or be able to order currency into branch.


You can still order currency via into branch. However we will no longer be able to exchange any money that has been order back to sterling in our branch. There will now be a select set of branches that can do this.


This comes into effect as of 1st of June 2020.


But there is another way you can buy travel money with us in branch. If you open a travel money card with us you can top this up in branch.

  •          Manage your account, top up your card and check your balance using our mobile Travel app
  •          With our app you can also freeze your card, view your PIN, and transfer money between currencies
  •          Contactless-enabled for even quicker low-value purchases

  •          Available in branch, simply bring a valid UK passport or driving license
  •          Contact our UK call centre 24/7 for lost or stolen card replacement services

VE DAY – Bank Holiday

On Friday 8th May 2020 it will be 75th Anniversary Victory in Europe Day, generally known as VE Day or V-E Day, is a day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on 8 May 1945..

The early may bank holiday has been moved to commemorate VE Day, and our branch will be closed on this day. We will be open as normal on Saturday 9th May 2020.

Celebrate Captain Tom Moore 100th Birthday

To help fundraising hero Captain Tom Moore celebrate his 100th Birthday, Post Office has created five card designs to personalise, which customers can print out and get their children to colour in, write their own special message inside and to send to Captain Tom.…/asset…/mail/CAPT_TOM_CARD.pdf

Captain Tom Moore is the wonderful WW2 veteran who wanted to walk 100 lengths of his garden before his 100th birthday, with the aim of raising £1,000 for NHS Charities Together.

Not only has Tom successfully achieved his 100 lengths, but he has smashed his target and has raised over £18 million for charity – while also capturing the nation’s heart.
